  • Could watch the Learner video: Joining clay while making and decorating their pinch pots.
  • Could decorate their pinch pots with one shape, perhaps a circle rolled and flattened with a face added, using tools pressed in.
  • Should be guided to score the shape’s surface and use slip before attaching the decoration.


Learners working at a stretch:

  • Should be encouraged to think about where to place their decoration for the best effect.
  • Could explain the techniques they are using in their pinch pots.
