Differentiation
Learners needing extra support:
- Could work from a photograph to build confidence before trying to draw from life.
- Should be reminded to sketch lightly.
- Could use a writing slope or a pencil grip prompt.
- Could use a piece of paper cut into one long strip and lay this alongside a photograph. The learners should then make small dashes on the paper strip to mark the position of features on the house to help place starting points.
Learners working at a stretch:
- Should shade the background.
- Should add detail to the background or foreground of the sketch.
- Should vary the pressure of the marks they make the create different effects.
