Check learners can recall: How artists create artwork to have an impact on the viewer. Artists are influenced by what is going on around them. Artists ‘borrow’ ideas and pictures from other times and cultures. Artists combine materials; for example, digital imagery, with paint or print.

  • Should answer some questions about their designs to help develop their ideas.
  • Should cut out pictures by themselves.
  • Could use sticky tac to hold their pictures in place when trying different compositions.

  • Should show a more imaginative approach to creating their photomontage.
  • Could explain their picture selections and choice of composition.
  • Should try to create a sense of depth by placing smaller pictures towards the back or darker pictures behind lighter pictures.
