Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could be provided with a pre-printed grid on their portraits.
- Should look closely at the photographs, square by square, before drawing.
Learners working at a stretch
- Should be challenged to enlarge the picture rather than replicate it on the same scale by creating a larger scale on their large paper making sure that there is the same number of squares on both.
- Could experiment with different techniques for photorealism, such as close observation or tracing and transfer.
