Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could use pencil grips to correctly hold the drawing materials.
- Should plan the shapes they will draw on the Activity: Drawing shapes.
- Could watch someone model how to colour in the shapes and mix colours with the drawing materials.
- Could have sentence frames to help them describe the shapes they drew. For example, My shape looks like… There are … lines. I used … (drawing materials).
Learners working at a stretch:
- Could cut out the shapes they drew on the Activity: Drawing shapes and use them as a template to draw around on paper of different colours to create an abstract piece.
