Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Should focus on choosing one animal and one simple added element (for example a tree or coral).
- Could use the Resource: Animal inspiration (see Print) for visuals of animals and environments to look closely at details, shapes and outlines.
Learners working at a stretch:
- Should develop more complex compositions, adding different elements to their animal.
- Should think about how the background and lighting can emphasise the images in the design.
- Should add notes to their sketches, explaining why they made certain choices (for example: “I used dark colours in the background to make my animal stand out”).
