Woven wonders

This Art and design video guides learners as they bring together all the fibre art techniques they’ve explored—wrapping, plaiting, threading, knotting and weaving—into a final creative piece. Children experiment with attaching their work to a loom, combining different textures, colours and techniques. The video encourages reflection and decision-making as learners choose how to arrange and connect their materials.

This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design framework. It helps learners consolidate their skills and express themselves through a collaborative or individual fibre artwork. By combining craft and creativity, children celebrate their progress and develop a deeper understanding of how materials and techniques can be used to make meaningful art.
