Creating a beach scene
This Art and design video introduces learners to the concept of composition by guiding them through the creation of a beach collage. Learners begin by cutting out shapes to include in their scene, then draw a horizon line to show where the sea meets the sky. They explore how to add movement and mood to their pictures, using different lines to represent a calm or powerful sea.
This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design Curriculum Framework.
