Making zines

This Art and design video guides learners through the process of making a zine—a mini book made from a single folded and cut sheet of paper. Learners follow step-by-step folding instructions before designing their booklets to share something they’ve learned about Ancient Egyptian art. They are encouraged to be inventive with both content and materials, including using painted or handmade paper and adding drawings, patterns, and text.

This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design framework. As part of the Ancient Egyptian scrolls unit, this lesson helps learners express their ideas through creative presentation and visual storytelling.
