Making repeatable paper tile designs

This Art and design video shows teachers how to guide learners in creating repeatable patterns inspired by organic shapes found in nature. The video demonstrates a paper-based tiling method, helping learners understand how a small design can be repeated to form a larger pattern, a traditional technique still used in design today.

This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design Curriculum Framework (0067). As part of the Craft and design: Fabric of nature unit, this lesson helps learners develop their understanding of pattern construction and explore how natural forms can inspire decorative design.
