Exploring space, materials and meaning
This Art and design video supports teachers in introducing learners to installation art, helping them explore how artists use space, materials and concepts to create immersive and meaningful artworks. Teachers are guided through activities that encourage group discussion, image sorting and analysis of the viewer’s experience.
This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design Curriculum Framework (0067). As part of the Sculpture and 3D: Interactive installation unit, this lesson develops learners’ understanding of contemporary art forms and builds skills in observation, interpretation and collaborative thinking.
