Exploring architectural ideas through drawing

This Art and design video supports teachers in guiding learners to design a building using one of three architectural drawing styles: perspective view, plan view or front elevation. It encourages children to develop original ideas, consider the building’s purpose and users and annotate their designs with creative and practical features.

This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design Curriculum Framework (0067). In the Craft and design: Architecture unit, this lesson builds learners’ understanding of architectural representation and prepares them to apply these skills in future design challenges.
