Exploring what robots can do
This Computing video introduces learners to robots, explaining what they are, how they work and how they follow instructions called algorithms. Learners discover that robots are machines that can sense, move and complete tasks on their own because they are programmed to do so. The video explores how robots are already helping us in everyday life and invites learners to imagine how they might design the robots of the future.
This video is part of Kapow’s Computing resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Computing curriculum framework (0059). As part of the Stage 1 Programming: Bee-Bots unit, this video helps to build learners’ understanding of algorithms and how instructions are used to control machines like robots.
