Teaching coding using MakeCode

This Computing video introduces teachers to the MakeCode platform, demonstrating how to navigate its main features and use it effectively in the classroom. The video also explains key programming concepts such as algorithms and sequences, using simple examples to show how learners can begin creating code with blocks and simulate outcomes using a virtual micro:bit.

This video is part of Kapow’s Computing resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Computing curriculum framework (0059). It forms part of the Stage 2 unit Block coding, helping teachers build confidence in using the platform and guiding learners through early coding tasks.
