Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could use pencil grips to hold their pencils comfortably, ensuring control while drawing.
- Could trace over the loose half of their photo to help guide the outline of their face, ensuring symmetry.
- Could cut out the loose half of their photo to create a simple template that helps them match the outline of the missing side of their face.
Learners working at a stretch:
- Should challenge themselves to use only the photo’s guide to help them draw the features, paying close attention to symmetry and how the face appears from different angles.
- Should take the time to carefully add fine details, like eyelashes or freckles to make their self-portrait more accurate and expressive.
