Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could use the Resource: Notan designs (support) to give them some simple pattern ideas.
- Should focus on creativity and balance, rather than perfect symmetry.
Learners working at a stretch:
- Should design more detailed shapes or patterns, such as stars, swirls or animals.
- Can combine multiple Notan designs into one large artwork, making sure the different pieces still look balanced and work together.
- Can try different ways to arrange the shapes, like flipping, rotating, or overlapping them, to create more interesting relationships between the black and white areas
