Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could use the Activity: Fruit data cards: support version, which includes colour pictures of the fruit to help them understand and sort the data.
- Could work in a guided group with the teacher to understand the questions and discuss which ones can or cannot be answered using the data table.
- Could answer the questions orally rather than writing them down, so they can focus on understanding the data.
Learners working at a stretch:
- Should think of extra questions that can or cannot be answered using the data table writing them in the space at the bottom of the Activity sheet: Answering questions with a data table. They should use a tick to show which questions can be answered and a cross for those that cannot.
- Should write one or more simple sentences to explain the answers they found, using the data to support their answers and adding extra details.
