Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could look at the pictures of rockets while answering questions.
- Could be given Resource: Rocket data table filled in (support). While the rest of the class are filling in their data tables, work with these learners to show them how to use the table to answer questions such as, ‘What colour wings did Kwame choose?’ or ‘ How many people chose big bottles?’
Learners working at a stretch:
- Could be challenged to suggest other data that could be collected about the rockets and design a new form to collect this data.
- Should be encouraged to ask statistical questions that require them to count and compare data.
- Could create their own data table and make suggestions on how to organise the data.
