Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could place their counters with peer support, explaining their choice to a partner before sharing with the class.
- Could have access to sentence stems such as ‘This is an input because…’ to support talk.
Learners working at a stretch:
- Should write why a device is an input or output alongside placing their counter.
- Could identify devices that can be both input and output and explain how.
- Could compare two devices, for example, a microphone and a keyboard, and talk about the different kinds of information they send to a computer.
