Differentiation
Learners needing support:
- Could discuss the information for the table orally as with their partner rather than filling it in on the Activity: How robots work.
- Could support their explanations by identifying which are the input devices and which are the output devices on the Resource: Robot input and output devices, for example by circling each type with a different coloured pencil.
Learners working at a stretch:
- Should add information about a robot of their own choice onto the table on the Activity: How robots work.
- Could say sentences describing how an input leads to an output using the structure: event → object → action. For example: When the sensor detects a wall (event), the wheels (object) turn the robot away (action).
