Creating abstract prints from drawings

This Art and design video guides learners as they create a monoprint based on a section of their observational house drawing. Learners use an L-shaped mount to select and frame an interesting area of their sketch, then explore printmaking techniques to produce a unique, abstract monoprint.

This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design curriculum framework (0067). In the Stage 5 Craft and design: Architecture unit, this lesson helps learners develop composition, mark-making and creative printing skills using their original drawings.
