Connecting through computers
In this Stage 1 Computer Science video, learners explore how technology helps people stay connected, even when they live far apart. Through the story of Nina and her friend Luca, the video shows how computers and the internet allow friends to communicate in many different ways. Learners see examples of real-life digital communication, including sending pictures and videos, writing messages, playing games together and making video calls. The video helps learners understand that computers and networks are tools that support communication, connection and friendships across distances.
This video is part of Kapow’s Computer Science resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Computing Curriculum Framework (0059). In the Rocket to the Moon unit, it introduces key ideas and encourages learners to recognise familiar online activities they may use at home.
