Exploring repetition in printmaking
This Art and design video introduces the concept of pattern: repeating lines, shapes or colours. It shows learners how to create their own printed patterns using everyday objects. They experiment with colour, shape and layering techniques to explore how patterns can be created and changed through repetition and overprinting.
This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design Curriculum Framework (0067). In the Stage 2 Art and design skills unit, this lesson encourages learners to observe, experiment and express ideas visually through the element of pattern.
