Designing abstract motifs with repetition
This Art and design video introduces learners to a simple paper method for creating repeating patterns, inspired by the techniques designers use. Learners begin by dividing a square into four sections, then use colourful paper to recreate and adapt their abstract pattern designs. The activity develops spatial awareness and shows how a small design can be transformed into a larger, repeatable motif.
