Planning textured clay tile features
This Art and design video supports teachers in guiding learners through the design process for a clay house tile. Inspired by the work of sculptor Rachel Whiteread, learners create detailed drawings of houses, planning which features will be joined in relief and which will be impressed into the clay. The video encourages discussion about architectural features and how different tools and techniques might be used in the next clay session.
