Editing photographs with purpose

This Art and design video supports teachers as learners create bold digital photographs inspired by artist Derek Oberteng. In this lesson, learners plan, take and edit photographs to design a music album cover, experimenting with composition, props, colour and saturation. Teachers are guided in supporting creative exploration and ensuring outcomes are purposeful and visually striking.

This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, created to align with the Cambridge Primary Art & Design framework. In the Craft and design: Photo opportunity unit, this lesson builds learners’ confidence with digital tools and encourages playful yet intentional design thinking.
