Turning memories into sculptural art
This Art and design video supports teachers in guiding learners through the creation of a relief sculpture inspired by the artist Louise Nevelson. Through a two-part activity, learners explore abstraction, translating personal memories into symbolic shapes and developing their ideas from paper compositions into layered three-dimensional forms. Teachers are supported in promoting decision-making, problem-solving and creative expression throughout the sculptural process.
