Creating collaborative prints
This Art and design video supports teachers in facilitating a collaborative printmaking activity inspired by learners’ previous collage and wax resist work. Learners work in groups to create large-scale prints using a range of experimental techniques, such as block printing, monoprinting and textured stamping. The video explores creative decision-making around composition, colour and mark making, while offering suggestions for working on fabric or cardboard surfaces.
This video is part of Kapow’s Art and design resources, which support the Cambridge Primary Art & Design Curriculum Framework (0067). As part of the Stage 4 Art and design skills unit, this final lesson enables learners to apply their skills to a group project that encourages experimentation, reflection and working at scale.
