How taking notice supports wellbeing
Research shows there are five ways to improve wellbeing: Discover, Take notice, Connect, Give and Move. This video explores the Take notice strand, which focuses on being aware of the present moment. This means noticing our surroundings, feelings and thoughts.
Through Kapow’s lessons, learners develop simple techniques such as breathing, mindfulness, and reflection to help them pause, listen to themselves and manage stress before it becomes overwhelming. Activities range from observing nature, art and music to exploring thoughts, emotions and self-care.
By taking notice, children learn to appreciate small moments, boost their mood and build lasting strategies for positive mental wellbeing both in school and at home.
